To be able to achieve a goal, you need to set it. But, there are many ways to go. The best way to go is with smart goal setting. After all, you want your goal to become reality. In this article, I will give you the A – B factor. A factor which is important for every goal setter.
What is the single biggest necessity of every goal setter?
The single biggest necessity for every goal setter is having the achievement of their goal, behind them. That being, that you have achieved the goal, and are now living life with that goals outcome, a part of your daily life.
Whether it is financial success, health success, relationship success or in any other area, you will want to understand a principle. A principle that where you are and where you want to get to are like a line.
And when you begin to set a goal, you have to realize that there is a possibility of achievement. The more you do, the more likely for achievement, and the less you do, less likely for achievement.
The best way to goal achievement is to do more! Take action, and succeed. And now we understand a formula. You are at A, and you want to get to B – which is your outcome.
When you understand that whenever you have a desire, and it is a strong desire, you will always have ways to turn that goal into reality. All it takes is to go through the steps.
Some goals maybe 10 steps away, while others may take longer. Some goals require a journey of a million miles, but always it begins with the first step.
As long as you continue taking steps, then you are going in the right direction. In life, we have many options and roads lead in many directions. When you have a goal in mind, you can achieve by taking the steps.
Sometimes people will get too involved with the time factor. We all have done this, and set a time limit for a goal. When the time arrives, sometimes it may not appear. Most will give up believing that it is over, but the truth alludes.
If we look at the success stories we realize that they took the steps. Even though time is a factor, focusing on taking the steps makes the most sense. You know roughly how many steps your journey will be.
Time is a factor, because we only have a finite period of time to achieve something, however, if the desire in you is strong for the attainment of a goal. Then realize that it is a simple process of taking the steps.

If you are new to the world of personal development and goal setting, then you may be wondering what it is and how to go about goal setting. In this article, you will learn what is goal setting and how you may just be doing goal setting already.
When you awake in the morning to go to work in time, this is goal setting. The process of setting your alarm to get up, washing your clothes the night before, and preparing for work are all part of goal setting.
In the dictionary the term goal means the end of the race or the object of effort. These points are important. Another word we have is set. To set means to put or place in specified position or condition; cause to sit; fix, point, put up; make ready; become firm or fixed, establish; prescribe, allot; arrange while wet, so that it dries in position.
That last point is an important one. If we consider sand and cement, we add water, and it sets, it becomes concrete. This is the essence of what is goal setting. You have an objective, and with the right ingredients, you make a product, your goal.
A goal can be thought of as an end step. What do you want exactly? Answering this question gives you the understanding of what the goal you want to set is. Another term we can call this other than the end step is the outcome. So if you think of a concert. Now the travel is not the end goal, but being in the concert, listening to the band is the end step, the outcome. Literally, you walked steps, and the end step was the concert.
Understanding what is goal setting is pretty much easy. You have a goal. But, what about the setting part of things? To really understand what is goal setting, we must look at the set part.
For many people goals are a part of life. Though there is a big distinction. For example someone wanting to get to work in time, may be doing a form of goal setting, but this type of goal is not what we are thinking about when we say what is goal setting.
So, what is goal setting exactly? There is a big difference, and that difference is either doing it consciously or unconsciously. When you consciously goal set, you are setting goals that you have decided upon. You say you want this, that or other.
This is important as it means you are choosing the direction. Only a small portion of the population does this. Current conscious goal setting is done by only 4-7% of people. And the success rate is approximately 50%. For example out of 100 people 4-7 of them will set a goal, to achieve something, to be something, to get something. Out of that 4-7 people only 2-3 will achieve.
It may seem slim chances. But consider that you have a 50% of a chance of achieving some goal you set, compared to the 96-93% who never set goals. It is the only thing that will give you the greatest leverage to move forward and that is to be consciously deciding on what you want.
The figures don’t stop there however. Only 1% of those 100 people will achieve a financial goal, such as becoming a multimillionaire, and truly prosperous. You may say why goal set. The answer is in what is goal setting. Setting goals is the only way to increase your chances of living the life of your dreams.

I am going to be bold and state that everyone sets goals. But, there is a vast difference between achievers, smart goal setting, and simply setting goals. I want to ask you a question – are you doing smart goal setting when setting goals? Join me as I show you how you can start smart with setting goals.
Setting goals and achieving goals is both a science and an art. There is many ways to go about it, you can be analytical with goal setting or you can start getting creative. In either case goals fall down into 2 parts.
The 2 parts of goal setting, can be thought of as a piece of string, a timeline. This timeline has a point A and a point B. These points are critical, because point A shows you in your current position, and point B shows you at your goal achieved.
This looks good so far, but why doesn’t everyone achieve there goals? The biggest problem is that most people don’t go through both parts. Without setting effective goals, there is no way to maneuver to the destination.
You see, most people will set goals. They will set goals at New Year, when it is time to go on vacation, etc. But, they will never sit down and plan the most important destination, and that is life.
Goal setters are a different breed of people. Instead of focusing on such words as fate, destiny takes on a new meaning, because day by day, you can design your life, how you want. And this is the domain of the goal setter. Because they are focused to do, be or have something.
In my research, I have found that approximately 50-60% of people who set goals, achieve them. This may seem like flipping a coin, and goal setting may not prove successful. However, the truth is that when we take a look at the New Year resolution goal achievers, the figures dip down into 1% success rate.
So, smart goal setting is about tipping the balance in our favor. And there are many ways to accomplish this. Writing your goal down adds a few percentage points in your favor.
Add a goal setting system to this equation and you can take the success rate even higher. Now, there is only one part that makes or breaks all these benefits, and that is action.
Now, I can’t stress the action part. Some people are all for the action, and forget the goal setting and planning phase, while others don’t act. And here is the biggest concern, because the goal setters, who don’t make it, are those who don’t act.
Action is the most important part, because goal setting can take you a week, it could take a day. If you have been looking at setting life goals, you can easily do that within a week or like I did, invest a whole month into the process.
That is small in comparison to the action necessary. When I set a life goal, it requires decades of effort. Action and smart goal setting is the only way to achieve success.
