    How do we live an extraordinary life? One full of amazement, and one that you live with passion? It is an interesting topic, and with so many people wondering what the key to happiness is, it is worth considering. In this article, we will look at what I call Bliss++.
    In my life, I have always sought to live an extraordinary life. As a life coach, I have seen many people ask what is the key to happiness. But happiness and money are totally different things. Though many people believe that more money will make life more happier. The truth is that emotions such as happiness begin with us.
    So, what is an extraordinary life? Think about it for a moment. What is an extraordinary life? For me I have managed to create what I think is an extraordinary life, and I call that Bliss++. It includes my ideal health, wealth; success, professional life, and all other areas that I feel need to be included. Bliss++ is my view of what car I want, what dream home I want, and how I want my relationships to be.
    For you, you can consider your own Bliss++. You can call it what you want. However, what you call it should mean something to you personally. And every time you think of the word, it should conjure up visions in your imagination of your ideal life.
    For many people who achieve great things, goal setting is behind what got them from a to b. From mediocrity to success, however, they choose to define it. I can wholeheartedly agree that goal setting is essential to be able to live an extraordinary life. Ask 100 people about where they are going, if they have a vision, if they have a worthy ideal, and you will find only 4-7 people out of hundred can give you an answer.
    Setting goals is all fun; however, it is easy to get stuck there. Goals can be empty by themselves and needs a vision. That vision begins when you go through thinking about what you really want. What would make an extraordinary life for you?
    Think about it. Look back here, read this, bookmark it, and send to friends. And most important of all remember. And remember to define your extraordinary life. It is crucial, as Solomon the wisest of them all said that without a vision people perish. And with that wisdom it does not require being a Christian, catholic, protestant or any other denomination. It requires simply thinking about how you want your life to be.
    You might not achieve it exactly. It may take a day, a week, a month, even a year to create the whole picture. But, while you are creating the vision, you can start taking action on those goals you have formulated from the vision. If you shoot for the Moon and miss, at least you will have landed amongst the stars.

    You first will need these items. Make sure you get them before continuing. It may be an idea to bookmark this, Digg this, blog this or even print it up for later use. Here are the items you will need to do goal setting:
    * A pen
    * Paper
    * You
    * Your mind and a goal
    We will look at these in a kind of reverse order, as that is how it goes with goal setting, and goal achievement. You need to first have an idea, before you can write it down. Let us get started.
    * Step 1 – Your Goal
    To begin goal setting, you will need to do some thinking. What is a goal that you would like to achieve? What do you really want? Think about it, what is one desire you would really like to achieve? Preferably this goal is something you have never achieved before.
    * Step 2 – You!
    Remember that it is you who is the vehicle. A goal can not be achieved by you, without you! If you want a house, someone maybe able to build it for you, but it is through you giving your go-ahead.
    Consider what you want, and what kind of things will be required for its achievement. Buying a dream home can be as simple as phoning a real estate agent or even going to visit to see property.
    If your goal is a career goal, then you may have to get more education. All of these thoughts will need research. You may need to find out what kind of courses you need to embark on. You will also need to consider if you need any existing qualifications and skills before getting onto that course of education – if your goal needs some education.
    * Step 3 – The Fun Begins
    Now with your pen and paper, you need to write down your goal. Then you need to consider what you need to do, to get there. Often goals will have a lot of question marks, but as you go through step 4, you will achieve success, and find more answers.
    * Step 4 – The Journey To Achievement
    A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step! Without action goals can’t be achieved. So take action. Step 1 to 3 may have taken you 5 minutes, it may have taken a month, but step 4 is the journey, and can take long. Step into persistence, and you will succeed.
    * Step 5 – The Seed Of Achievement
    Step 4 is laying the seeds. Step 5 is the harvest. Your goal has been attained! Congratulations. Now it is time to look for bigger and better things to set goals on. Remember to get here requires time. And remember sooner you act, and persist, the quicker you will get here.

    Often personal development and goal setting can seem like they are totally different things. It may seem like personal development is for growth, while goal setting deals with your material goals. As you read this article, you will discover how goal setting and personal development go hand in hand with goal setting to make your goals reality.
    Whatsoever you desire, you can achieve. So, you set along a path of setting a goal, and then taking action.
    As you continue, you discover something. That something is growth and learning. After all, it is likely that you will set long term goals, for goals which you have never achieved before.
    The key then becomes growth and personal development. Personal development is an essential component because it is about developing you and goal setting because you have a destination in mind.
    An example is perhaps important to show how this can apply practically. Let’s say for example you intend to start a business. You may have never started a business before, and now you are about to start.
    If your goal is to become financially free, for example make a million dollars in that business, then you will see that development is needed. You can not earn a million dollars until you develop yourself.
    This looks like when you learn how to drive. There is a need to develop yourself, and grow. You need to do things in a different way, and need to focus on new things. Unlike a passenger, you need to stay focused not only on the road, but also what is going on outside of your vehicle, and not to mention also having to drive!
    Goal setting is a process, and it can easily catch us out. We can get stuck in thinking that goal setting is all we need. That having a goal will allow you to find a way. Though this is true, it is not always so in practice.
    Imagine public speaking, a singer or anyone that has to perform to a big crowd. We know that public speaking is not the easiest subject to perform. In fact many people would rather die than speak on stage!
    Personal development then becomes an essential factor in any person, who is looking to get on stage and communicate with possible 1000’s of people. Likewise the goals you set will likely need a change of some kind.
    This change, this personal development is fully possible. And now we find why personal development life coaches often speak about goal setting. You can’t develop yourself without having a set goal.
    A great way to follow through is to apply. And the application is very easy. All it requires is having that goal set before you do anything. Whether that is reading a book, going to a seminar or trying to become a world class athlete – first set the goal, and then take the action.

    I like the smart part! And I am sure, you do too. The problem is that a lot of people don’t set smart goals. Often, you will see this happen with New Year resolutions, and at other times. These are goals, which don’t have a system to make them work.

    I am going to be bold and state that everyone sets goals. But, there is a vast difference between achievers, smart goal setting, and simply setting goals. I want to ask you a question – are you doing smart goal setting when setting goals? Join me as I show you how you can start smart with setting goals.
    Setting goals and achieving goals is both a science and an art. There is many ways to go about it, you can be analytical with goal setting or you can start getting creative. In either case goals fall down into 2 parts.
    The 2 parts of goal setting, can be thought of as a piece of string, a timeline. This timeline has a point A and a point B. These points are critical, because point A shows you in your current position, and point B shows you at your goal achieved.
    This looks good so far, but why doesn’t everyone achieve there goals? The biggest problem is that most people don’t go through both parts. Without setting effective goals, there is no way to maneuver to the destination.
    You see, most people will set goals. They will set goals at New Year, when it is time to go on vacation, etc. But, they will never sit down and plan the most important destination, and that is life.
    Goal setters are a different breed of people. Instead of focusing on such words as fate, destiny takes on a new meaning, because day by day, you can design your life, how you want. And this is the domain of the goal setter. Because they are focused to do, be or have something.
    In my research, I have found that approximately 50-60% of people who set goals, achieve them. This may seem like flipping a coin, and goal setting may not prove successful. However, the truth is that when we take a look at the New Year resolution goal achievers, the figures dip down into 1% success rate.
    So, smart goal setting is about tipping the balance in our favor. And there are many ways to accomplish this. Writing your goal down adds a few percentage points in your favor.
    Add a goal setting system to this equation and you can take the success rate even higher. Now, there is only one part that makes or breaks all these benefits, and that is action.
    Now, I can’t stress the action part. Some people are all for the action, and forget the goal setting and planning phase, while others don’t act. And here is the biggest concern, because the goal setters, who don’t make it, are those who don’t act.
    Action is the most important part, because goal setting can take you a week, it could take a day. If you have been looking at setting life goals, you can easily do that within a week or like I did, invest a whole month into the process.
    That is small in comparison to the action necessary. When I set a life goal, it requires decades of effort. Action and smart goal setting is the only way to achieve success.

    If we think of a goal as a time line, we find that we can put an A point and a B point to the equation. We find that we are at A, and our goal is at B. Now in the science of goal setting and achievement, we can think about this statistically.
    You can either don’t succeed or you do succeed. And out of the successes, we find that some of the success stories will achieve their goal sooner than another – even for similar goals, with similar circumstances.
    We want to focus on those that achieve success quicker. And the reason is simple, it means smart goal setting. And this is what the smart part is – a way to work smarter not harder to get goals achieved in quicker time.
